“Positive Birth Psychology” and why a positive emotional and positive habits approach is now more needed than ever in birthing!
During these times of a global pandemic, there number of people all over the world, suffering from anxiety, depression and worries is on the rise. I read that depression has risen by 300 %.
The vision of “Pregnancy and Birth” does not seem to be a happy event anymore. Now there are so many changes in hospitals, the birthing experience is being overshadowed by uncertainty, anxiety and worry.
“Positive Birth Psychology” gives pregnant women and their partner’s simple exercises and techniques to go from pessimism to optimism; retraining your mind, body, emotions into doing more positive habits, more often. Many of the techniques can be done with a birthing partner which strengthens the bond in the relationship and includes the partner more in the birthing journey.
As an experienced midwife and NLP Trainer /Hyopnotherapist, I like to work with different methods to empower my clients to feel more positive, build true resilience and create more happy and posititve habits that they benefit from during pregnancy to birth and into the rest of their life.
